Our June show features new works by Emily C. McPhie. Titled "Duality", the show explores the notion of holding two opposing thoughts at the same time, the separation of body and mind, intellect and nature. The show is already available on our website, if you would like an early preview, and will open in the gallery for the Second Saturday Art Walk, June 11. Emily discusses her work in the video below.

Brumfield Gallery has been adopted and has a new sibling gallery. As of June 1st the gallery has a new owner. Joseph Clayton, who owns Bronze Coast Gallery in Cannon Beach, has added Brumfield Gallery to his business portfolio, and gallery family. This may seem like a big change, but in many ways everything is going to stay the same.
In April Jane Brumfield accepted a position as Bronze Coast Gallery's new manager. She will be managing both galleries, and will continue to curate the program at Brumfield Gallery. We will still be Brumfield Gallery. Mike will stay as a consultant during the transition and while we recruit a new member of staff. He will then continue as part-time, allowing him to pursue his work as Clatsop’s Emergency Auxiliary Communications Leader. So... in effect the business will continue as normal. Joe brings important marketing and sales experience. He has a background in developing businesses and managing transitions. His approach is to learn everything there is about the business before making any changes that will enhance our activities.
We are very excited about this development, and see it as the most ideal way to move the gallery from a sustainable business to a thriving one. We hope you will enjoy this journey with us. If you would like to check out our partner gallery we encourage you to visit Bronze Coast Gallery.
