With the festive season fast approaching we'd like to ask you to take a few moments to consider how you can best support the health of you and your family

- Please check you'll have enough repeat prescription medicine to last over the holidays

- Consider keeping a supply of medicine cabinet essentials at home e.g. paracetamol and plasters

- GP practices will be closed on Friday December 25th, Monday December 28th and Friday January 1st, but some pharmacies will be open on these dates - click HERE to see list of locations and opening times

- If you feel unwell and don't know what to do call NHS 111 or visit NHS 111 Online for help and advice 24/7

- If you have an urgent but not life-threatening issue and think you need to go to your hospital’s emergency department, call NHS 111 first. NHS 111 can book you an appointment at your local emergency department, meaning you’ll have an allocated time to attend hospital

- If you feel distressed or worried about your mental health you can access 24/7 support by calling First Response on 0808 196 3494

- Please don’t be lulled into a false sense of security. Coronavirus hasn’t gone away for Christmas - you can read the latest guidance HERE
