Welcoming You Back and Keeping You Safe
Dear <<Recipient Name>>,

We are pleased to announce that the Royal Pavilion will be reopening on Monday 27th July from 10am, with last admission at 3pm. We have installed new safety measures in preparation for safe visitor flow around the building. In addition, we have trained our staff to ensure they are able to work safely and ensure a safe environment for all our visitors.

Once we have reopened the Royal Pavilion, we hope to reopen Brighton Museum & Art Gallery in August and Preston Manor in September.

Throughout the closures we have been working with Public Health England, Brighton & Hove City Council, the Royal Pavilion & Museums Trust and unions to ensure the buildings and work environments are safe for both visitors and staff. We have prepared a ‘welcoming you back' video and FAQ for visitors, which outlines some of the changes you can expect to see when we reopen and to reassure you that the Royal Pavilion is a coronavirus safe attraction.

Safety procedures include:

· Pre-booked timed entry to limit numbers.

· Hand-sanitiser stations at entry points

· Perspex screens and barriers

· Social distancing signage

· A one-way visitor route

· Removal of audio guides

· A reconfigured retail space

In addition, we will be incorporating any new guidance which may be recommended by the Government.

We are very excited to welcome visitors back to the Royal Pavilion. They will be able to enjoy the wonderful Royal Collection Trust items installed in the building for a limited time. These items are on loan thanks to HRH The Queen while Buckingham Palace is being renovated.

Visitors will also be able to see for the first time the newly refurbished Queen Victoria’s apartments which have been hung with the original elegant 19th-century Chinese export wallpaper. The paper was removed by Queen Victoria and taken to Buckingham Palace in the 1840s but sections were returned to Brighton in the 1920s and hung in the Saloon until its recent restoration.

Please book tickets online at https://www.maximweb.net/brightonmuseums/events/  or call the booking office on 03000 290902 between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Please only visit if you are feeling well.

Thank you again for your support and we look forward to seeing you again soon. Stay safe...

Warmest wishes from us all at the Royal Pavilion & Museums
