Inspection and hive splits Saturday
I will be going up to the FLC this Saturday May 14th at 1:30PM to perform a full hive inspection on both hives. I am anticipating I will be splitting both hives.

Directions: Drive up 8th Street in Boise until it turns into a dirt road. Follow that to a hiking parking lot on the right-hand side. Turn into that lot and follow that to the FLC parking lot, which is farther back. The apiaries are next to the shop.
Item to Bring
- Suit or Veil
- Closed toed shoes
- Long sleeves and pants
- Water
- Optional: gloves, hive tool and smoker.
Please be advised before we enter the hives you will be required to review a Waiver and Assumption of Risks Agreement and I will have you sign an associated signature page limiting the TVBC and City of Boise liability at the FLC during hive inspections. I will be at the FLC at 1:00PM to start taking care of the paperwork and will start hive inspection right at 1:30 PM. I ask if you arrive late you do not join us as you have not signed this years waiver.
At this inspection I will be assessing if the hives are ready to be split and then, if needed, splitting one as a walk away nuc and the other as a modified DeMaree.
