Hive inspection and mite testing this Sunday!

Now is the time to get ready for winter!  What you do in the hive today will have the biggest affect 3 months from now!  This Sunday, July 31 at 10:30AM I will be up at the FLC performing inspections on all 3 hives and doing the ‘alcohol” version of mite testing.  During the inspections I plan on assessing each queen and getting the hives prepared to head into fall and winter. 

Items to Bring

1. Suit or Veil
2. Closed toed shoes
3. Long sleeves and pants
4. Water
5. Optional: gloves, hive tool and smoker.

Please be advised before we enter the hives you will be required to review a Waiver and Assumption of Risks Agreement and I will have you sign an associated signature page limiting the TVBC and City of Boise liability at the FLC during hive inspections.
