Thanks regarding this past Sunday from Pastor David:
Thanks to all of you for the love you showed Mayor Kashriel this past Sunday. Kathleen Cox told me that after the service the mayor and his assistant could not stop talking about how they felt something very special and different at the Gathering Sunday morning. They were very blessed to have been here and would like us to send the video of this past Sunday's service as soon as it's up! I like Earl and Kathleen believe the fruit from Sunday will produce a great harvest!
Below is a further word sent to me from Kathleen:
I’m sending this message to those I know will deeply appreciate what I’m about to share because YOU opened the way to made it happen.
Just a few moments ago Rachel, Mayor Kashriel’s assistant, took me aside to share something. Rachel said that she and the mayor met early this morning for coffee to discuss their visit thus far. While I’m unable to convey her exact words, what she said brought tears to my eyes. This is the best trip to the States they have ever experienced and they have been here countless times. Together they agreed that the love and warmth they have felt and continue to feel has served to energize them both beyond measure bringing them joy and happiness. Other trips, she said, have been extremely tense and very draining but their interactions in the past have been primarily with Jewish communities here in the States which are not necessarily pro-Israel. She said this trip is so very, very different. From the moment they touched down in Charlotte, Rachel said they were greeted with nothing but hugs and expressions of love from everyone they met, for Israel and for the Jewish people. You know the Bible says in the Book of John that they will know we are Christians by our love. Growing up my mother told me over and over again that “actions speak louder than words.” Thank you for the very loud and very powerful message you imparted to Mayor Kashriel and Rachel. Seeds have been planted and their lives and concept of what true Christians stand for have been changed forever. To God be the glory. Thank you for incredible way you demonstrated the love of our Lord to these precious people. I hope sharing this message with you serves as a source of encouragement. God used you greatly. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
All the best always,
