What ho, chums. It's the July Bristol Games Hub newsletter here, knocking politely before kicking down the doors. Some fun stuff this month from talk of a distanced anti-social about the Steam Games Festival, to some lovely updates from some of our members about their games and general doings. Let's go!

Bristol Games Hub Anti-Social - Thursday July 30th at 7:30pm - Although the Games Hub is shut for events for now, in place of the July meetup we are going to attempt an online event. First there will be a panel discussion about the recent Steam Games Festival, the arguments for and against doing a PC demo, and a wider discussion about visibility and Steam wishlist numbers. This will be followed by some kind of Zoom-based social/networking time (making use of breakout rooms for more comfortably sized groups). Sign up via the Bristol Games Hub Meetup page for meeting details and instructions nearer the time:"

Asking Space Agencies about crumbless nuggets

Auroch Digital recently did livestreams of Mars Horizon with both the European Space Agency and the UK Space Agency - they were great fun to do and you can watch them here:

During lockdown we've also been able to offer some freelance work to people where we've had a squeze on projects. We've got a lot bubbling under, so if you've not already sent us a CV/covering letter - please do to

Oh and if you're wondering what working with us is like, we did a podcast on that (pre-lockdown note!)

Force of Habit

A mix of community/marketing tools and bonus YouTube content this month!

Last month we launched Coverage Bot - a Discord bot that finds coverage of your game from across the internet and posts to your community. It's available through our Patreon, and is being used & supported by a few Bristol studios already. It seems to be working really well. Chat to me on the FOH Discord if you have any questions beyond the scope of the website.

A new project! We started developing a (sort of) retro fps / roguelike game. Here's the introductory YouTube Devlog! Woop! Please subscribe and leave a like and comment to help us win over the discoverability algorithm.

That's all for now - hope you're all staying safe and well. Thanks and cheers!

Mongoose and the King of Snake

Turbo Snake is a free simple addicting arcade game that will put your skills to the test. Eat food to grow, dodge enemies, and collect game-changing power-ups. The game features a wide variety of enemies that force you to think quickly and change your strategy. Slow down time to sneak past enemies or grab the shield to push them away. Then flip the game on its head and eat all the enemies or make them explode with the bombs.
