The Next BGH Event to be Hosted by Auroch Digital!

Join Auroch Digital and the Bristol Games Hub at the new Coop Mode space on Thursday 30th June at 7:00pm, as they present two talks filled to the brim with essential information for game developers. Talks will start at 7:30pm.
In the first talk, Auroch Digital Ops Director, Nina Adams, gives practical tips on what to look for and what to avoid when signing a game development deal with a publisher. Nina will talk through tips and advice that Auroch Digital has learned over more than 10 years of signing and developing games with various publishers. Nina will go through her experiences of working on multiple projects, including taking Auroch Digital’s latest exciting announcement from it's first pitch, all the way through to partnership relations during development. WARNING!! May include some project war stories!! Using this example, Nina will highlight areas you can improve your pitching, and classic things to look for, so you can avoid getting into a bad deal that could put your project, or even your studio, at risk.
In the second talk, Auroch Digital UX/UI Director, Alix Briskham, will give a talk on why you should choose a UI role and tips for what to do when applying for an art and/or UX/UI role, including portfolio work.
So if you're looking to land a deal or a job, you won't want to miss this event! See you there!

Ashley Gwinnell (previously Force Of Habit)
Hey. So my indie dev label Force Of Habit – known for Toast Time and Friendship Club – has now closed after 10 strong years.
There were many reasons leading up to the decision to close – ranging from working solo, burning out, and losing the Twitter account. All of that is documented with a few lessons learned in a Twitter thread and YouTube vlog.
Moving on, however, is positive! I'm now focusing on indie game publishing toolkit, IMPRESS, and the website is officially live! There's key art from Bristol’s own @2DForever, and a fully interactive demo for the first product, Coverage Bot.
Coverage Bot monitors press and gaming influencers for coverage mentions, and lets you, and your community, know in Discord. When a popular Twitch streamer goes live with your game? BAM, you're notified. Same with YouTube and press reviews. It can generate PR reports, and other nice things, too.
Coverage Bot is currently in pre-launch with a few Bristol teams, and is available on the website if you're interested in the preview. For the launch notification, put yourself on the waitlist. Thank you so much!

We released the Rebel Inc. Scenario Creator on iOS and Android, allowing players to create Scenarios from the comfort of their phones.
We're already seeing a lot of cool stuff coming out of the community, you can see some of them in our round-ups from January and April!
