Opportunities for affordable home ownership are expanding in Hayward with new income-restricted townhomes coming on the market at Mission Crossing by Meritage Homes.
Mission Crossing, at 25501 Mission Blvd. on the site of the former Ford dealership at Berry Avenue, will have a total of 140 townhouse-style condominiums—including 14 to be sold at below market rates (BMR).
Applications from moderate-income buyers or lower are being accepted until Aug. 23 to qualify for a lottery for an opportunity to buy one of Mission Crossing’s two- and four-bedroom BMR townhomes. In Alameda County, moderate income ranges from a gross maximum income of $119,950 per year for a household of one person to $185,050 a year for a household of five individuals.
To apply to participate in the Mission Crossing BMR unit lottery, contact program administrator HouseKeys at 1-877-460-KEYS or https://www.housekeys8.com/. The Mission Crossing BMR unit lottery will be held Sept. 6.
BMR townhomes at Mission Crossing are priced at $477,416 for a two-bedroom unit and $575,311 for four bedrooms. To learn more about builder Meritage Homes and its Mission Crossing project, go online here to the company’s Mission Crossing project website.
