Downtown Color

A number of new murals will soon be gracing downtown Rockport in the Cultural Arts District. Ann Winkler of Wink Design Murals in Grapevine was busy this past week painting this mural on one of the walls of The Strand Hair Designs. Winkler said she was awarded the bid for the mural, which represents area birds. The crab claws as feet adds a distinct twist to the artwork. Winkler said she and her husband come to Rockport all the time and plan to retire here one day.

Janie had performed well for her first hunt of the year. She retrieved the birds and brought them back to me with ease, her enjoyment obvious to any bystander. Well-trained retrievers are a priceless tool in any hunter’s arsenal, and Janie is no exception.  Continue reading on our website>>>
