San Mateo County
Intro to Organizing with Faith in Action Bay Area

A Five-Week Workshop Series
Each Tuesday in August, Starting August 3
7:00-8:30 p.m. on Zoom

You are invited to join Faith in Action Bay Area's new workshop series "Intro to Organizing" for residents of San Mateo County. We will cover some of the basics of organizing: How do we organize to shift power? What are some of the skills that I can use to start organizing? We will also discuss how we organize as a network in San Mateo County, building relationships across lines of difference: What does organizing with Faith in Action Bay Area look like? What are the various roles that I can play as part of Faith in Action Bay Area, based on my skills and experience?

We invite everyone who is open to learning about organizing, including congregations and institutions who want to organize with us. This workshop series is intended for San Mateo County residents who speak English and may have economic security, housing and employment stability, and/or racial privilege, and who wish to learn about participating in a cross-class, multi-racial organization that is led by those who are impacted by injustice. When you sign up, we ask that you commit to attending at least four of the five sessions, as each of the sessions build on one another. To express interest or sign up, please fill out our interest form.

If you participated in our first Intro to Organizing cohort earlier this year, please encourage others in your network to attend!
