Happy Fall! 🍁🍂 Thank you all for supporting our first ever WiT job fair and hope that everyone had to a chance to enjoy the Forward Festival and DevFest WI festivities. 💻🥳🎉

On September 21, MWiT is co-hosting a hybrid event with Codecinella about 12-Factor AppsWe're also planning a board game social, a talk about algorithms inspired by nature, a group outing to Nerd Nite Madison, and a presentation on salary negotiation. Stay tuned for details on the WiT website and Meetup! 📅

🗞  Women in Tech job fair featured in Wisconsin State Journal!

The Wisconsin State Journal popped by our job fair during Forward Fest and wrote a thorough article about the event:

"Peyton Turner, UW-Madison computer science and psychology double major, said that finding a job as she enters her 'super-senior' year is an imperative — even six months before she graduates. ...

She networked with eight companies Thursday, and said it 'feels nice' and 'less intimidating' to have attended an event catering specifically to women [and nonbinary folks]."

What is a 12-Factor app? The 12-Factor App methodology was created as set of best practices for developing web applications. Together, we'll cover each of the twelve factors, and discuss how each factor contributes to a scalable and resilient web application.

Triple Threat Venture Training

Fall Cohort Application 
Program Dates: September 2022 - February 2023
Triple Threat Venture Training is a 20 week, virtual accelerator program for women and marginalized gender entrepreneurs looking to focus on their venture strategy. Through a curated cohort experience, entrepreneurs learn skills to combat burnout and self-doubt, create a strategy for their venture, and leverage their community to achieve their goals. Additionally, each entrepreneur is paired with an experienced coach for one-on-one sessions throughout the program. We tailor fit these pairings to match skills and expertise with your personal and venture goals.

$500 program deposit required that will be returned at completion of program + $2,500 unrestricted grant

Investor Accelerator

Fall Cohort Application
Program Dates: September - November 2022 

The Doyenne Investor Accelerator is a 12-week program designed to equip women with the skills and background knowledge to invest in startups. The program blends online learning, virtual workshops, and partnership events to build women’s financial knowledge and ability to evaluate companies, make smart investments, and remain engaged after deals are made. We do all of this while keeping legal and tax implications in mind to explain risk and create a safe space where questions are encouraged for increased learning.

$1,500 program fee
