Hi y'all!

What a year it's been.

We started off 2020 with an event that, in retrospect, would prove incredibly valuable in the months to come: a workshop on self-care.

As the pandemic loomed, we canceled our member-favorite Galentine's Day event, as well as a planned lock-picking workshop. The choice to postpone events we were so excited for was a tough one, but in hindsight, we're glad we erred on the side of caution.

We pivoted to virtual events with a panel on working remotely in early April, and as the pandemic and lockdown dragged on, focused primarily on socially-oriented events through the summer, as member feedback indicated what people missed most was connecting with others.

In the fall, we returned to a few favorites, including our second-ever event with the Girl Scouts (teaching high-schoolers to code) and hosting another iteration of our popular "show & tell" series. We also organized our first Airbnb experience, learning the ins and outs of hand-lettering.

We closed out the heartbreak and challenge of 2020 with our 5th annual holiday social. It was a different experience than our normal in-person celebration, but it was wonderful to see so many friendly faces, even virtually.

As we plan out our programming for 2021, we anticipate remaining wholly virtual through the spring (if not longer), but have lots of ideas for how to bring members together in creative ways. ❤️

First up is a virtual trivia night: Learn more here and RSVP to snag sweet prizes. We're also going virtual with our 6th(ish) annual Galentine's Day celebration! (We say "ish" because we technically skipped last year amongst the onset of the pandemic). How would you prefer to celebrate? Take our brief poll and let us know! (Srsly brief, it's only one question 😉).

Lastly, we'd love for a few more folks to let us know what kind of financial programming might be helpful right now; fill out our quick survey here to help us plan a February event focused on finances.

And we have a new website!

We made it this far together; here's to 2021! 🎆
