Library director Lillie Huckaby presents a letter to library patrons.

Dear Library Patrons,

I want to highlight a few of the events and programs occurring at the library over the next few months.

As we wrap up March and go into April, mark your calendars for the Friends of the Chickasha Public Library's used book sale, from March 28 through April 9. Additional details are linked below.

There are also several free Health Literacy classes coming up. From exercise classes like Line Dancing or Staying Active and Independent for Life (SAIL) to classes on mental health. There will even be a series of cooking classes for youth available soon. I encourage you to explore the newsletter and webpage to find out what library programs and services might interest you.

SAIL is a fitness program for older adults that can be done sitting or standing. Performing exercise that improves strength, balance and fitness is critical for staying active and reducing the risk of falls. The SAIL program was designed with these principles in mind. Each class includes a warm-up, stretching, cardio, balance, and strengthening exercises, as well as a cool down. Registration is now open for this class.
