BBQ and Baseball Event!
Tuesday, July 10th at 5pm

Celebrate summer! Start off the evening with a delicious BBQ dinner at Warner Park's Rainbow Shelter from 5pm-7pm. Then, we'll head over to the Madison Mallards for the 7:05pm baseball game against the Kenosha Kingfish!

This fun, family-friendly community event is open to anyone and everyone! However, it is capped at 300. RSVP required. You may RSVP by contacting Rebecca at or 608-246-8372.

This event is free in order to make it available to everyone. Those who RSVP will receive both a meal and a ticket to the game. However, donations are always appreciated (suggested donation of $10-25). It is because of awesome community donors like you that we are able to provide free summer camp to Vera Court kids. Thank you!

Meet the Staff

Bella Weirough
PASS AmeriCorps Member
BLW Teen Program

"I have been with BLW since September of 2017 as an AmeriCorps member. My favorite part about the job would be building relationships with the kids and fellow staff members at the youth center. I've truly enjoyed getting to know the people in this community and being able to spend such a great school year with them all. I'm looking forward to the summer program and all of the fun field trips and clubs we're planning for the kids. "

East Madison/Monona
Coalition for the Aging

Ericka Booey
Community Outreach Worker
BLW partners with the East Madison/Monona Coalition for the Aging to offer resources and programs to senior members of our community!

Back in October, Ericka Booey accepted a position as the new Community Outreach Worker for East Madison/Monona Coalition of the Aging and North/Eastside Senior Coalition. Her outreach efforts are an attempt to eliminate isolation of seniors in their own homes and to connect seniors to whatever community resources they may need.

Ericka Booey was born and raised in Gary, Indiana. Ericka moved to Madison, Wisconsin July of 1999 with four sons and ran a state certified in-home daycare. During that time she decided to go back to school and graduated from Madison College's Human Service program with an associate degree in Applied Science.

During the last two years of the her college experience Ericka decided to close her in-home daycare and take a nightshift staff position at the Salvation Army homeless shelter for women and families. Ericka has also beem a Social Service Specialist for Dane County Human Services part time for the last three years.

Ericka brings a wealth of knowledge in community resources to East Madison/Monona Coalition of the Aging. Her role is going out into the community to make relationships with contacts for seniors and the seniors themselves. She connects seniors to the resources needed to ensure that they can remain independent through community resource assistance.
