Edible Playscape Installation Success!

Thanks to all of the volunteers who donated their time and energy, we created a beautiful new outdoor learning space in front of the BLW Youth Building!

Learn more about this project from the designer, Amy:

"In our community, there is a desire to express value of all life, traditions and cultures and increase food security, safety, resilience, hope, unity and resource sharing.

On Saturday May 19th, an enthusiastic group of volunteers installed the first phase of the edible playscape at the BLW Youth Center. This project, designed using Permaculture principles and ethics, is part of a larger neighborhood vision to bring people together, provide rich and interactive educational opportunities, increase cross-cultural and cross-generational relationship building, contribute fresh food to BLW and enhance neighborhood resiliency.
