Dear <<First Name>>,
Complexity Can Kill All Your Joy

I love the power of simplicity. It is powerful indeed.

When implementing the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS ®) for clients, I’ve seen the relief, even joy, when an overwhelming 136 or more issues cluttering the mind of the entrepreneur get organized into only six areas. All of a sudden things become more manageable and (dare I say it?) simple. The entrepreneur is able to focus on one issue at a time. They are able to chip away at it and the company becomes steadfastly better over time. It’s a path to joy!

In Toastmasters I’ve learnt it is much more difficult—and takes more skill—to do a speech in under seven minutes than it is to have twenty minutes at your disposal. When you have more time, you can afford your mind to wander a bit. When you have preciously little time, you have to be focussed and disciplined.

In MacKay Forums we give our leaders five minutes to report back. Those who can be laser focussed get their complete message over. I teach the three C’s here. By being concise, clear and compelling, those leaders are able to be most inspirational! But this takes extra work. You need to be prepared and laser focussed. You need discipline.

Where in your life or work do you need to cut through complexity to a place where you can focus on the essential? When you can employ a laser focus and be disciplined, you will soon discover the power of simplicity. You will be on a path of joy!
I hope you found this helpful. More of the same can be found on nicohuman.com or by following me on LinkedIn, Facebook or YouTube.

Thank you. Let’s make things simpler this week! Let’s focus on the important!
