Brain Space for Joy
Dear <<First Name>>,
Greetings from sunny South Africa.
We arrived here after a two day trip from Vancouver, through London Heathrow, to South Africa.
This time I deliberately decided not to stimulate my brain at all during this time. I wanted to give it a rest. I had a very, very busy three months behind me. I was totally exhausted and my creativity was at a total low.
So for the two days flying - all the lineups, all the hustle and bustle in the airports - I was an observer. I didn't watch movies during the flights, I didn't play too many games, I was not reading a book. I just wanted to observe, rest and I wanted to reach that place in my brain of boredom, where you start getting creativity back.
And you know what? It worked beautifully. Right now, I'm here exploding with new initiatives and I'm able to plan new things. And enjoying the time whilst seeing family and friends and having a great time together. So I really want to recommend this for yourself, as well. In EOS® we call it a 'clarity break'.
When last have you given your brain a break from all this endless stream of information that always comes at it, so that our brains can rest? Come to a place of boredom and then start becoming creative again.
Hope you find it useful. Let's all be creative this coming week.
