Berkeley Flea Market Community Meeting

June 3rd , 2019  6pm
Sports Basement
2727 Milvia Street

Discuss the City's Adeline Corridor Draft Plan

The Board of Community Services United is determined that vendors and most impacted people will primarily determine whether CSU agrees to the proposed move or whether it resists efforts to relocate it. However, we must educate ourselves and understand what is being proposed so that we can have an informed opinion and position, no matter what it might be.

Community Services United invites you to a meeting to learn more about the City’s Adeline Corridor Plan that was published on May 15th. We want you to know what is happening and participate in creating a united response to the plan. Bring questions. Bring solutions.

* Will there be low income housing built where we are right now?

* Will we have any guarantee about having a place in the "new" Flea Market?
  • Introductions
  • Opening Remarks about Meeting Objectives
  • Short Presentation on Adeline Corridor Plan (what is it, how it pertains to the market, timeline for comment)
  • Group Break-out Discussions of Adeline Corridor Plan
  • Regroup, share out and Q&A on Adeline Corridor Plan
Next steps: We need volunteers to be on a subcommittee to help create a response. Let General Manager know if you are able to help!
