Watch Parties, and Passing The Buck
Tuesday, June 26 is Primary Election Night. WTF Colorado will live-stream CD4's watch parties.

WTF was overjoyed on Wednesday to learn that an executive order has been signed ending the practice of separating families at the US southern border. This is a great victory for the resistance. The scheming of Trump and Sessions has been defeated by the persistent criticism of both political parties. By our protests, like the one pictured above in Aurora. By .the unanimous criticism of our free press.

We had some discussion about whether or not we should still run our planned feature story about Ken Buck's disingenuous support of the policy of separating parents and children at the border. Ultimately, we decided that we should.

First, Buck's duplicity remains and deserves not to be forgotten, even though his words were spoken in defense of a policy that has been officially abandoned by the Trump administration.

Second, the hostage crisis is not over.

This is the face of a child who is holding his mother by both hands and has no fear of losing her. Let's keep it that way.

That's right, the executive order signed on Wednesday may prevent the breakup of more families, but there are still traumatized children scattered around the country, from Houston to New York City. Who can say how long it will take this incompetent excuse for a dictatorship to match the bereaved parents to the scared and scarred children who in all likelihood can never be made whole and confident again?

Third, while Ken Buck still holds office, we are still hostages ourselves, to the incompetent representation afforded us by a man with no moral compass and no backbone.

This is NOT OVER!

We must not forget this most atrocious act of the cruelest president since Andrew Jackson (at least).

And we must not forget how Ken Buck joined the ranks of toadies and sycophants once again as he tried to defend an indefensible policy. What motivated him to do so is not our concern. Our concern is banding together to turn Buck out of office. So even though it's old news, it's new inspiration in the fight to take back CD4.

So don't relax your vigilance. And by all means...
