God desires relationship. When asked in the book of Mark about the most important commandment Jesus responded, “And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” He went on to say that the next most important command is to “love your neighbor as yourself,” Mark 12:30-31.
God wants a meaningful relationship with us and He wants us to have meaningful relationships with others. It is great that you are coming to church on Sunday mornings, but it's really hard to develop these kinds of meaningful, upward and outward relationships during the worship service alone. The good news is that we have a great way for you to develop both!
Joining a Life Group gives you the opportunity to regularly explore God’s Word through the study of the weekly sermon while building lasting relationships with others. Life Groups are an environment where you can put God’s Word into practice. You will feel more connected to the church as you experience true community.
At CEFC, we want each of you who are attending church on Sundays to be discipled in a Life Group throughout the week. If you're not already connected to one, we'll have tables in the lobby on Sunday mornings throughout the month of August where you can meet some of our group leaders and find out how you can be part of this important aspect of church life at CEFC. We look forward to talking with you!
