“...if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.”  - Romans 10:9-10

This is a repeated theme in scripture, that what happens in the heart leads to action. What is amazing is that as you confess aloud what is the truth about Jesus from your heart, you help to bolster that belief in your heart, which makes it all the more pressing to share who He is and what He has done for you.

Thanksgiving is upon us, and we will spend time intentionally building a heart of gratitude for food, family, and most of all, for Jesus. We'd like to challenge you to put that gratitude into action by helping people in North Carolina who have been impacted by Hurricane Florence.

Nov. 25 - Dec. 1, 2018 we'll be partnering with the West Shore E-Free Church to serve the residents of North Carolina by helping to clean up homes that are still in need of repair, encourage homeowners who have lost their possessions, and help a local church in Morehead City, NC as they serve their community. Reach Global will have their crisis response team on the ground coordinating and resourcing us.

We will have a meeting in Room 204 this Sunday, November 11th, at 12:45 PM to confirm who will be joining the team. Your children, age 14 or older, can join you on this trip as well, as long as they come ready and willing to get a little dirty (or maybe a lot) and bless others.

The cost of the trip is $275/person plus the cost of some meals. If you are feeling called to go and serve, but are concerned about the cost, please email Pastor Dan so that we can help. If you cannot make this trip, but want to help others go, you can send a check to CEFC with "Serve NC" in the memo line and those funds will support teams from our church with their work in North Carolina.
