Join the outdoor coffee meet-up
Join Paths for People and Coffee Outside for a cuppa joe!

It's all about celebrating folks who are embracing active transportation, even on (almost) the darkest day of the year - while encouraging others to give it a go.

Bring a pair of new or gently used socks to donate

We’re collecting socks for Bissell Centre, as many of their community members participate in active transportation year-round and could use some warm gear this winter.

Share about organizations who support folks to bike and walk
Do you know of local places supporting and encouraging their employees and others to walk, cycle and roll?
  • 🚿Does an employer provide showers and a locker room for runners and cyclists?
  • 🔒Do you know of an organization with secure bike parking?
  • 🚶🏾‍♀️Is there a business who provides funding / programs to support employees to bike or walk?

We’d love to know all about and celebrate these places in monthly profiles in 2020.

Hundreds bundled up to stroll down the historic festive street

Paths for People helped host the first-ever pedestrian-focused YEG Candy Cane Lane. Folks walking as well as rode bikes, cross-country skis, toboggans while revelling in the glow of the festive street on Thursday, December 12 from 6-9pm.

Thanks to our many P4P volunteers who helped make the route safe and warm by marshalling the roadways while tending the fire pits.

A special thanks to volunteers Theresa Agnew and Dave Buchanan who took the lead on coordinating our 30+ person team.

Draft City Plan

The City Plan charts out how we will get to a future city. It's about our spaces and places and how we move around the city. It is about our community and what we need to do together to grow, adapt and succeed.

The City Plan will replace The Ways documents, including the Municipal Development Plan and Transportation Master Plan.

Review the draft City Plan and provide your comments before January 16, 2020.
