Recognizing the Outstanding Work of Leadership This Labor Day Holiday

Labor Day honors the American labor movement and the contributions that workers have made to the development, growth, endurance, strength, security, prosperity, productivity, laws, sustainability, persistence, structure, and well-being of the country.

This Labor Day the National Labor Office would like to take a moment to recognize the work that takes places at all levels of Blue Cross Blue Shield to emphasize our commitment as a system to the workers all across the nation.

Blue Cross Blue Shield Association strives to be a partner to our members by recognizing the individual Plans through our Brand Excellence Awards or supporting the Special Olympics every year. Each BCBS Plan is committed to working with their local community, examples include addressing the opioid crisis and recognition for being an ethical company for consecutive years.

Our Board of Directors is comprised of people who truly lead by example. Many sit on local boards focused on supporting their neighborhoods as well as receiving various awards and recognition for the great work they do both as a BCBS employee and a community member.

We hope you are able to enjoy your Labor Day with friends and family.

In Unity,
Bonnie Summers
