Practical aspects involve (doing and reality) as opposed to theory.
The Scripture warns us That there are things in this world that if we give ourselves to them it spoils us, captures us, gets us off track, captivates us and hinders us from walking out the faith we have.
Lay aside every weight and the sin that so easily gets us off track.
Many times we are endeavouring to "get more faith, or strengthen our faith".
It only takes a mustard seed of faith and nothing is impossible to you.
What's the problem?
The reality is that we need to get rid of doubt so that our faith becomes effective.
Identify what spoils us, captures us, gets us off track, captivates us.
Lord, I believe but help my unbelief.
The idea is not to have "big faith" but to have pure faith not hindered by unbelief.
In the letter to the Galatians Paul identifies what spoiled them, what had taken the power of God out of their lives and it was legalism.
In 1&2 Corinthians carnal/fleshly worldliness was spoiling them. In Colossians Paul identified that philosophy and tradition of men was bringing in unbelief and was about to spoil them.
The answer was always acknowledging who they were in Christ through prayer and fasting.
Fasting as in Abstaining, separating oneself, dedicating oneself - Can include to abstain from eating and drinking but not necessarily). [Strong's]
