The date is
June 15th
Parade Down Warren Street
Pride Parade
Saturday June 15 Warren Street Hudson, NY

This year, which marks the 10th anniversary of OutHudson’s Pride Week, it is more important than ever for all of us to lend our support. 2019 is not an easy time to be LBGTQ in America. Under the Obama administration, the Department of Health and Human Services determined that protections in the health care system against discrimination “on the basis of sex” should apply to transgender people. Roger Servino, the current director of HHS’s Office for Civil Rights, announced on May 24 that a new ruling would reject that interpretation and “bring the regulations in line with what lawmakers originally intended.” In other words, more war on marginalized communities, three members of whom were brutally murdered in Texas this year. Here are two things you can do:
  1. Visit and use their online form to tell the Trump administration that no one deserves to be denied access to care because of who they are.
  2. Be part of the Pride Parade on Saturday June 15! The theme is fairy tales. Lineup starts at 12pm with the Parade kicking off at 2pm.
