"We really have two foliage seasons. The first season is the lead up to what folks call “peak foliage” where the sugar maples glow brilliant reds, oranges and yellows. Shortly after peaking, around mid through late October, comes the magic of what we have fondly dubbed "Maine's Second Foliage Season" where the oaks and birches shine yellows and earth tones and even beautiful pastels... much different from the familiar fireworks palette leading up to peak season."
