Version 1.2 Released!

1.2 is here!

What's new in 1.2?
  • FLAVORS: 2 new flavors (green apple and kiwi); new border color support
  • BUTCH: 3 new border styles
  • BUG FIX: Skew now works in IE 11
  • BUIX: Simple menu now supports sub-level pages
  • BFX: New "Throb" effect
  • TEMPLATES: New splash page example!
Border Colors
One major new improvement is that you can now use Flavors to apply a border color. There are 3 new basic border styles (found under BUTCH). Together, you can easily apply color borders, like so:

.border-solid-thick .blue-border

Note that the coupon (light and dark) classes have been removed in 1.2. This is because you can now have a dashed color border. Also note that color borders will only work on the BASIC border styles.

Throb Effect
Under BFX, there is a new "throbbing" effect! This is very useful if you're trying to draw attention to something on your page.

New Splash Page Template
There is now a new basic splash page template - included with the core! We'll be adding more free basic templates in future releases.

Notes About IE
Let's face it. IE is the worst browser in existence. We hates it. However, because it is still being used to an extent, it has been necessary to test the framework in IE. Although 1.2 has a fix for skew in IE 11, we've encountered some other issues.

In IE 11, all filters do not get applied (such as grayscale). After a bit of research, we've found that the filters do seem to work in IE 9. However, only about 5% of the internet uses IE these days, so this isn't that big of a worry anymore.

What's Next?
There will be more (free) basic templates in future releases. These may include email templates, splash pages, and other templates for general use.

We're also looking at adding some style support for forms, additional menu and navigation styles, and enhancements to some of the existing features.
