November/December 2019

Let it snow, let it snow...

November is National Senior Pet Month and Adopt a Senior Pet Month.  We love our senior pets at The Pet Lady, Ltd. Not only do we love our senior clients, we also want to bring attention to the senior pets at shelters that may be passed up for 'being too old.' There are so many benefits to having a senior pet in your life!
Wonderful Organizations such as Lizzy's Fund help provide medical, dental, and adoptive assistance for senior dogs. In celebration of National Senior Pet Month, Lizzy's fund is covering adoption fees at  A.D.O.P.T. Pet Shelter as well as many other local shelters and rescues.
If you would like to donate please visit Lizzy's Fund website.
December is National Cat Lovers Month.  Show us your feline pride!
Cats can be funny creatures and have wonderful cat-itudes!  They are constantly curious and do the cutest, sweetest things.  Cats are independent and can keep themselves amused when you are not around.  They can also help keep your home bug and rodent free. But the number one reason we love cats....they purr!
Check out these great ideas of ways to celebrate National Cat Lovers Month here.
We are doing a photo contest! Post an adorable holiday photo of your pet to our Facebook page or on Instagram and tag us (@thepetladyltd) and use #ThePetLadyLtd. The winner will receive a $25 credit to their account!

Bella P.
Bella is always ready for a long walk with Brianna!

Harley S.
Harley loves a good rump rub and he will always remind you when it is treat time!
Please keep your pets safe this holiday season.
  • Resist the temptation of 'treating' your pet from the table.  Table scraps can cause upset tummies and items such as nuts, candy and chocolate can be toxic to pets.
  • Create a special place for your pet to go so they can get away from all the noise and activity.
  • Make sure your holiday decoration are 'pet proof'.  Keep dangling ornaments high up on trees and make sure your pets cannot tip the tree over.
  • Keep a screen around all fireplaces to keep curious pets out of dangers way.
  • Holiday plants and berries can be dangerous to your pet, these include: Holly, Poinsettia, Amaryllis, Periwinkle, Mistletoe and Chrysanthemum.
