Low-cost and No-cost Mental Health Services Available Through YWCA

The YWCA Counseling and Referral Center serves the Central Texas community by offering trauma-informed, multi-lingual, multicultural services for individuals, couples, families, youth and groups. Depending on your residence and income qualifications, you may be eligible for services at no cost. Those who do not qualify can receive services on a sliding scale. Learn more HERE.

Apply for Texas Folklife's Apprenticeship Program - Up to $3,000 in Awards

Texas Folklife is now accepting applications for the 2023 Apprenticeship Program! The Apprenticeship Program provides awards of up to $3,000 for artist mentors to offer intensive training in art, cultural, or heritage practices to apprentices for six to eight months. Runoff elections are taking place for the following Austin races:
- Mayor: Celia Israel and Kirk Watson
- City Council District 3: José Velásquez and Daniela Silva
- City Council District 5: Ryan Alter and Stephanie Bazan
- City Council District 9: Zohaib "Zo" Qadri and Linda Guerrero
