Leaning into our Faith

Fall is a visual reminder that nothing stays the same. The warmth we so craved in winter is cooling (at least it is supposed to be!), the sun we worshipped in the summer is fading, the leaves that brought a reminder of hope in the spring now bring a reminder that everything will eventually die away.

Change happens. Sometimes we welcome it, sometimes we work for it, and sometimes it happens whether we want to it or not. Change is a part of life. What is vitally important is how we handle ourselves during the storms of life and times of fear.

More times than I care to recount, I have battled reactions of fear during change I didn't want or initiate. Even in the stormy seasons of my life, I have had to hold tight to my faith and the promises of God. Some of you understand what that is like. As we wrap up our Storm Proof worship series and begin our Fear worship series, I hope you will join me in taking an honest look at our own faith. Let's be vulnerable and authentic together as we learn to lean into our faith during stormy and fearful season in life.

Blessings,
Pastor Kris
