The Pros and Cons of a Homeowner's Association
Living in a community with a homeowner's association (HOA) can have a lot of advantages, especially since common areas often include landscaping, playgrounds, pools and community centers. There are pros and cons, of course, and some homeowners would rather opt out of paying the associated HOA fees. There are often rules associated with HOAs as well, which can both create a pleasant environment and feel limiting for different residents. Maintaining a property involves time and energy for those involved, and deciding to live in a community with an HOA ultimately comes down to a matter of personal preference.
