Happy Gratitude Month!

Thanksgiving Day is fast approaching, and it is one of my favorite days of the year because it reminds us to give thanks and to count our blessings. In the spirit of this season of gratitude, we asked everyone on our team to share what inspires gratitude in them. It is my hope to encourage all of you to practice living a life of gratitude. People who are grateful enjoy many benefits as it increases positive emotions, allows one to relish experiences, improves their health, and builds strong relationships.

We also wanted to take a moment to pause and say how incredibly grateful we are for you and to all the people who have shown their support. We wouldn't be where we are today if it wasn’t for all of you. You are all family to us, and we are here for you if you ever need anything!

We wish you a Happy Thanksgiving and a month filled with celebrations and gratitude for our many blessings.

This year I’m thankful for family most of all. Last year I was unable to travel back home to Ohio due to Covid so this year I’m just really excited to see my family!
-Vince Jackson

As the season of gratitude approaches this year, I am extremely grateful for the impending arrival of our first child. We are looking forward to the journey of parenthood and all of the joy and blessings to come.

-Virginia Braswell

I am thankful for my health, my family and God.

-Teresa Sargent

I am most thankful for my AMAZING family. My wonderful husband and our four beautiful, kind and brilliant children. Words cannot express the gratitude that I have for each and every one of them and to share this journey we call life. They not only support me but make me smile, laugh and bring me joy. I am BEYOND blessed.

-Rhonda Coppo

My oldest son, Alex had a really bad case of COVID earlier in the year and I’m super grateful that he pulled through like a champ and no other person in our household caught the ugly virus.

So grateful for life and health, family and friends

-Chichi Emeziem

I am thankful for a healthy family, everyone is doing well in their jobs, my grandchildren are well and excelling in school. What more could anyone ask for.  We continue to pray for our Country and those that are in need.

-Joyce Tyson

All of the things I am grateful for, my health, my loving husband and amazing children, my precious granddaughter, my ability to work, etc. would not be possible without the graces given to me by a benevolent and forgiving Father. I am so humbled and grateful to know joy, peace, love, and forgiveness because of Him. I am most grateful to God.

-LauraLee Waters

I am grateful for my Faith and God who is always there in difficult times when it’s so hard to keep my faith.  For those God has sent into my life, I have many angels!

I am grateful for my family,  spending precious time with my elderly mom and everyone’s good health, for those who have become part of my family, those that we have lost and will always cherish.

-Tracy Allard

These are a few things I’m thankful for… my daughter and the rest of my family, true, solid friendships, personal growth, my home, my job, and being loved

-Erika Warren

I am beyond grateful for my wonderful family, my health, my job, our home and God.

Where in the World is Daisy? November: Good Kitchen and Market

This month we have a special treat for our Where in the World is Daisy? series. We are announcing our new partnership with Good Kitchen and Market!

"What’s our definition of Good food? More vegetables, thoughtfully-sourced protein, quality grains and no refined sugar, canola oil, GMOs, antibiotics or ingredients we can’t pronounce — stuff that belongs in a laboratory, not a kitchen."

What You Need to Know About The Future of Home Prices

The value of homes has increased rapidly over the last year, creating a historically competitive market. This has led to a lot of questions about the future of home prices. While experts predict real estate will continue to appreciate, there are signs that the rate of appreciation may be slowing to closer-to-normal levels in the coming years. We are still undoubtedly in a sellers’ market, and the demand for new homes is high. A slower growth rate could bring relief to homebuyers who had put their searches on hold. The exact outcome has yet to be seen, but there is certainly exciting news on the horizon for homebuyers, sellers and builders.

Is an Energy Efficient Mortgage a Thing?

When shopping for a mortgage, it may be a good idea to consider an energy efficient mortgage (EEM). An energy-efficient home can reduce living expenses in addition to conserving and protecting natural resources. An EEM can increase the amount you are able to borrow, provided you are spending the extra money on cost-effective renovations that are environmentally friendly. Qualifying upgrades include solar panels, double pained windows, ducts and insulation, and many other repairs improvements. These upgrades are investments that pay for themselves over time by cutting the cost of utility bills. There are certain restrictions, so be sure to talk to a trusted mortgage professional to find out if a green mortgage is right for you.
