Board Message

Hello HABA -

As a member of the HABA board, I am humbled by how dedicated the president and the members of the board are to the mission and success of HABA. The members are continuously coming up with ideas make HABA and serve the community as much as possible. A lot of work and personal time goes into planning and putting on events and the members gladly do the work. The board as it continues the work that previous boards have implemented, it is also trying to work to improve HABA into an even bigger and successful organization that serves as an asset to the members of the bar and the community at large.

This year, we offered 3 very informative CLEs, summer picnic, social at The Honorable Judge Sophia Vuelo’s lovely home and a banquet that was a great success. Now the board is already working to plan the programs and events for the coming year.

As the last event of the year, HABA wants to give more to the community, so HABA has scheduled a volunteer session at Feed My Starving Children. There, HABA will be helping the organization package nutritious meals for children in need all over the world. This is a good opportunity for HABA to give back. All are welcome to join us for this event. It will be held on December 7, 2019.

We are hopeful that next year, HABA will continue to grow and be even more successful.

We have an impressive group of people representing HABA and I am honored and humble to work with them.

- Abigail Evenson - Advisory Board Member
