Dar es Salaam (Tanzania) to host 35th Lohana Sports & Cultural Festival - Xmas 2018

Dar es salaam Lohana community is all set to host the 35th Lohana Sports & Cultural festival during the forthcoming Christmas period 2018, confirmed Sunny Ruparelia; Convener for Public Relations (PR). Navinbhai Kanabar (Chairman of Dar Lohana Community and A representative of Lohana Mahaparishad for Africa) stated that his Lohana Mahajan Management Team and himself are there to provide all the needed support for the Prestigious Festival which attracts the one of the  largest gatherings of Lohanas in East Africa with guests and dignitaries coming around the world.
Coming together is a beginning, keeping together is progress and working together is success. This December, 2018 holidays from 22nd. to 25th. the Host Centre Dar es Salaam Lohana Community, through the Sports & Cultural Organizing Committee, is planning and working hard to win the hearts & strengthen the bond with its colourful & dynamic representation & promote camaraderie, sportsmanship and talent, said Sonal Ganatra (Director of Public Relations (PR).

Various  representatives of communities from all over East Africa ; including Lohana Kampala, Mwanza, Nairobi, Kisumu and Mombasa attended the meeting and saw the likes of well experienced delegates; including Secretary General Vinay Dawda from Kampala (Uganda). After the success of the last festival in December 2016 in the town of Kisumu; Kenya, the Dar ES Salaam committee have got some exciting things planned for their home town festival. They promise for it to be bigger and better than before.
During the three day sports and cultural festival there will be various friendly and competitive games held; including badminton, cricket, darts, football, golf, marathon, snooker, squash, swimming, table tennis, tennis, throw ball and volleyball.

New Shree Jalaram Mandir and Community Centre in Greenford
The New  Shree Jalaram Mandir  and Community Centre in Greenford is progressing on schedule. It is going to be first purpose built Jalaram Centre in UK. The building will ready for occupation in Spring 2019. Their website is at www.JalaramMandir.co.uk 

To mark this occasion they will produce a special souvenir. They are looking for sponsors/advertisers to cover the cost and any surplus funds will be used towards the services the charity provides.


Apart from providing a Hot Soup Kitchen seven days a week at the Centre, their Charity also provides food to the Homeless in Central London (Lincolns Inn Fields, Temple Station and Charring Cross) three days a week. In cooperation with the Office of Mayor of London, Local Councils, QPR Football Club, they provide hot food during school holidays for children who are being looked after by these organisations.

The Souvenir will go out to local MP's, Councillor's and members of the public and all advertisers. Circulation will be about 2500 + copies. The cost of an A4 full page is £350. For more details please contact Sharadbhai Bhimjiyani on sharadbhimjiyani@hotmail.com.
