Cleaning the Capital: Alexander and Raven Park
Saturday, October 22, from 10am-12pm (Alexander and Raven Parks)
Did you know? The annual cleanup campaign first began in 1994 and since then, more than 1.6 million volunteers have participated in nearly 30,000 cleanup projects throughout the city! As a result, an estimated 1,350,000 kilograms of waste has been removed from our public spaces. Peace in the Streets
The Carlington Recreation Centre teamed up with Prezidential Basketball to host Peace in the Streets Caldwell Edition at the gym and outdoor basketball courts. Teams from across the city played for the title. Check out the video recap of the event!

SWAG (Students Will All Graduate)
SWAG (Students Will All Graduate) is offered by a team of Youth Workers, Ontario Certified Teachers and Volunteers 4 days a week throughout the school year and summer. This telephone friendly visiting line for seniors is designed to provide an option for those who may be feeling lonely or isolated. Offered through the Good Companions, Senior's Centre Without Walls is a free interactive telephone-based program that provides a rich line-up of health-related information from professionals in the community, later-life learning opportunities, participation in brain-stimulating activities, and most of all, the space to create meaningful friendships and community for those who may feel  isolated. COVID-19 Vaccines: UPDATE
Do you have questions about the new bivalent booster dose? Consider getting your booster ahead of what may be an active flu and respiratory illness season in our community if you are 18 and over. It is recommended to receive the Bivalent Booster at an interval of at least six months from your previous dose. For more information click here.

Intake services have changed and are provided through the support of technology as much as possible. Counselling Connect
With planning and development support from the Ottawa Health Team-Équipe Santé Ottawa, community-based mental health and addiction counselling providers responded. Counselling Connect provides all ages free access to a same-day or next-day phone or video counselling session, and counsellors can be requested from the African, Caribbean and Black communities, the LGBT2QI communities, and the Indigenous communities, and is also offered in Arabic.  Click here for more information.
