Created in partnership with Lyda Hill Philanthropies and the Association of Science and Technology Centers, the IF/THEN® Collection is a free digital library with photos, videos, posters, activities, and other assets featuring diverse women STEM innovators – all available for educational and other non-commercial use.

All PD participants will be required to participate in a teacher orientation May 31, 2023 from 7-8:30 PM ET / 6-7:30 PM CT / 4-5:30 PM PT

App of the Season - App Inventor
App Inventor FoundationApp of the Season is a free, virtual appathon hosted by the App Inventor Foundation that encourages dreamers, changemakers, and doers around the world to build mobile apps for a cause. The theme of this season’s competition is Community. Think of a cause that is meaningful to you and your community, and identify a solution to a specific problem related to that cause.

CSTA’s 2023 Equity In Action Summit

This summit is a one-day virtual event on March 4, 11:00 AM-4:15 PM ET bringing together PreK-12 CS teachers for a call to action to transform our approach to providing equitable CS education rooted in justice. Engage in strategies to equip yourself with resources on representation, accessibility, and culturally sustaining pedagogies. Develop an action plan to increase CS education access to all students and empower them to use CS in a just way.

Accessible Tools for K12 CS Education

Most of the tools used in K12 computer science education are not accessible to students with disabilities, especially students who are blind or have low vision. In this webinar, we share about thelogo reading "Access CS for All" Quorum programming language, Blocks4All, and other tools that are accessible to students with disabilities. You'll also learn about resources to support teachers who have students with disabilities in their classes.

NASA's Neurodiversity Network Internship
NASA's Neurodiversity Network is accepting applications for summer interns to work on projects with NASA scientists. The goal of the N3 program is to provide experiences for neurodiverse students, specifically those on the autism spectrum, that will spark their interest in careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).

Join Pauline to discuss how electronic textbooks (e-books) can help with learning Computer Science. High school and college students as well as educators have access to FREE interactive e-books, such as Mobile CSP and CSAwesome, on Runestone Academy to learn how to build their own mobile phone applications and learn Java – all you have to do is register (for FREE!) and get started. The e-books include readings, videos, tutorials, and exercises to guide you on your Computer Science journey. We will share how to access the e-books, additional resources, and more information on other Computer Science Education opportunities.

Sisters Rise Up with Dr. Barbara Ericson
University of Michigan logoThe research project, Sisters Rise Up, is currently accepting applications for a free online mentorship program for women of color who are taking an Advanced Placement Computer Science A course (CSA or CSP) during the 2022-2023 school year. It offers free remote help sessions led by undergraduate students from the University of Michigan. Two one-hour and two-three hour remote help sessions are offered. If you take the AP CS exam and send in your score by the end of August you will receive a $100 gift card for AP CSA or CSP.
