"Unwined" Concert - TOMORROW Jan 3, 2019

Start off the New Year with music and nature!
SPECIAL FEATURE:

Don't miss the debut of a short new film by Hunter Nichols that explores the connection between music and nature as we follow the Alabama Youth Symphony Orchestra on a Cahaba River Society CLEAN field trip.

The film will play during the social hour from 5-6pm on the lower level of the Ingalls Grand Foyer across from the wine bar. Come enjoy a beverage and view this inspiring film before the concert!

Part of the Alabama Symphony Orchestra’s “Unwined” series, this casual concert partners the Symphony with Cahaba River Society, bringing people together for a healthier and cared for Cahaba River.

Doors will open at 5pm for a social hour with a wine bar, information from Cahaba River Society, and the debut of a short film by Hunter Nichols that explores the connection between music and nature as we follow the Alabama Youth Symphony Orchestra on a Cahaba River Society CLEAN field trip.

From 6-7pm, the Alabama Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Carlos Izcaray, will perform Handel’s Water Music, a piece known for highly spirited movements that were played on boats for 18th century “River Parties.”

Concerts are approximately an hour, seating is general admission, and one complimentary beverage is included with each paid adult ticket. Tickets are $30, but you can enter the code "CRSFRIENDS" at checkout to receive $5.00 off your ticket price!

The third #ASOunwined concert is coming soon! Doors at 5pm with pre-show activities presented by Cahaba River Society and concert with the ASO at 6! See you Thursday, January 3 at UAB's Alys Stephens Center.
