COVID-19 response update

A note from Administrator Don Boelter:

Trinity Lutheran Church and Schools remains committed to the safety and security of our members, employees, and students, as we continue to strive to be a force in Lynnwood of Building > Belonging > Becoming a better community. To that end, over the past two months, at the direction of the Church Council, we have gathered a COVID Response Team that has begun meeting on a regular basis (via Zoom of course).

There is a growing body of evidence of aerosol transmission of the virus, increasing documentation of choral "super-spreader" events, and a recent significant jump in positivity rate of COVID testing in Snohomish County. In response, on Monday afternoon Governor Inslee’s office released revised requirements for religious gatherings.

upcoming sunday worship

August 16, 2020 + 10 AM - [live stream | bulletin]

In Isaiah we hear that God’s house shall be a house of prayer for all people and that God will gather the outcasts of Israel. The Canaanite woman in today’s gospel is a Gentile, an outsider, who is unflinching in her request that Jesus heal her daughter. As Jesus commends her bold faith, how might our church extend its mission to those on the margins of society? In our gathering around word and meal we receive strength to be signs of comfort, healing, and justice for those in need.

Celebrate With US!  Please join the Stephen Ministry in welcoming five newly trained and commissioned Stephen Ministers: Roxanne Conover, Tabatha Cyphers, David Fox, Lisa Hunnewell and Patty Wilder. They did extensive outside reading and endured 50 hours of ZOOM training classes to prepare themselves to walk with any of us who needs a listening prayer partner. They will be installed and commissioned during worship this Sunday.
