upcoming sunday worship

Nov 15, 2020 + 10 AM - [live stream | bulletin]
Our readings during November speak of the end times. Zephaniah proclaims that the coming day of the LORD will be filled with wrath and distress. Paul says it will come like a thief in the night and urges us to be awake and sober. Jesus tells the parable of the talents, calling us to use our gifts, while we still have time, for the greater and common good. In a world filled with violence and despair, we gather around signs of hope—word, water, bread, and wine—eager to welcome the good news of Christ’s coming among us.

life-giving generosity: fall stewardship emphasis

Earlier this month, Pastor Hector introduced us to our emphasis for the fall: celebrating God's life-giving abundance and responding to that gift with lives of generosity. Trinity Administrator Don Boelter wrote a powerful testimony to kick things off, Taylor DowdleKristen Uri, and Jeff Tobin shared their stories, and Trinity's newest members shared a bit about themselves. Over the next several weeks we'll hear from more Trinity voices about how this life-giving abundance informs their lives. Stay tuned!

holiday hunger appeal

"And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance,
so that by always having enough of everything,
you may share abundantly in every good work."
-2 Corinthians 9:8
TLCS has been called to be a congregation that shares God's life-giving abundance even when we might believe that we do not have enough. In this challenging season, TLCS responds to God's generosity by sharing and releasing God's gifts. As our communities continue to adjust to the changing needs during the pandemic, we find more families struggling to have their basic needs met. From the abundance that God gives each of us, let's share with those who have the need for food.

Trinity will be collecting funds for our local Edmonds & Lynnwood food banks throughout this holiday season. Your dollars go further when they are put in the hands of the food banks who can purchase the most needed items for a lower cost. You can give through online giving, by mailing to Trinity, or by dropping off funds to the church, with designation for the Holiday Hunger Appeal. Thank you for your generosity and sharing God’s life-giving abundance.
