Friends,

Thank you to everyone who tuned in for Pentecost worship and the Semi-Annual meeting. It was wonderful to see so many faces worshiping, singing, and doing the business of the church!

The excitement and enthusiasm felt by worshiping 'together' in this way was palpable. I hope that we'll be able to do that again, and is something we'll keep working on as we adapt and evolve how we worship together. So stay tuned!

If you haven't yet, there is still time to email or postmark your ballots from the meeting last Sunday, by tomorrow, June 5. Thank you to everyone who has already submitted your ballots. The results will be reported at the conclusion of the annual meeting on June 14 via Zoom following the 10 AM worship.

Finally, the past week and more of mourning, protests, violence, and divisive rhetoric--all with the backdrop of a global pandemic--leaves many breathless. I know it certainly does for me. At times like this, when words escape, I am reminded that "The Spirit intercedes for us, with sighs too deep for words to express. Oh...." (ELW 180, Romans 8:26).
Blessings and Peace,
Josh Judd-Herzfeldt
Trinity Communication Coordinator

sunday worship + the holy trinity

June 7, 2020 + 10 AM - [live stream | bulletin]

Communion service - prepare a home altar with bread and wine/juice, and be ready to take instruction from the pastor.

Though the word trinity is not found in the scriptures, today’s second reading includes the apostolic greeting that begins the liturgy: The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. In the gospel Jesus sends his disciples forth to baptize in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. More than a doctrine, the Trinity expresses the heart of our faith: we have experienced the God of creation made known in Jesus Christ and with us always through the Holy Spirit. We celebrate the mystery of the Holy Trinity in word and sacrament, as we profess the creed, and as we are sent into the world to bear witness to our faith.
