Tailored Health at the Pyramids

This could be our best T for Tailored Health photo yet!

A massive shout out to Lois for thinking of us whilst on an amazing overseas trip. Having you show your appreciation of us, helping to keep you fit and healthy, means the world to us.

I cannot wait to see where in the world our next T picture will come from 😎👌

Ben's Super-Nan

Couldn't be prouder of Nan who has seen a 45% improvement in her fitness since working away on her health and fitness this year. Fair to say she has made some great improvements so far, plus we get to have a weekly good is that!? 😎☕

Claire's Milestones: Return to running and netball!
A few year's back, I had given up on the idea of ever being able to run anything more than a few hundred metres as my back just didn't like it….which was one of the reasons I pursued race walking. What a great move that was 😉

On the 8th I ran 5.2km in Run4TheKids 🏃‍♀️ and a week later I filled in for a friends netball team playing 4 quarters in centre (which means a lot of running)! Last 10 seconds of the game with no warning at all (except feeling pretty knackered), I felt an almighty spasm in the middle of my back and then my neck tightened and I could barely move my neck. Click below to find out how I managed my pain next.

The coolest part about all of this was smashing the beliefs I once had around the limitations I placed on myself due to pain. I love proving myself wrong!

A summary of how I achieved the above:
Find movements you can do, do them heaps and gradually tap into those activities or things that scare you the a few other feel-good things along the way. For example, do it with the special people in your life who make it fun along the way! Go team 💪🏼

Will Phil beat the train?
We wish Phil the best of luck to beat Puffing Billy this weekend on a hilly 13.5km run through the Dandenong Ranges. After also completing the Run4TheKids this month, we are super proud to see you get on top of last years nasty ankle injury. Go Phil!
