Dear H.A.R.T. Friends,
Thank you for all the support and generosity you have provided the organization over the years. We can't do our work without you. Last year alone, we placed over 500 animals in new homes. The reality is we need corporate sponsors and donations from the public or we are in jeopardy of closing our doors this year.
The county shelter is filled to capacity and therefore Humboldt Animal Rescue Team is a critical part of the rehabilitation of neglected, abused and rejected animals for the community.  Most of the animals we take in require medical care. Kitten season is here which means our facility can swell to over 90 cats in any given month.  Kittens need 24hr care and local shelters simply don't have the staff to take care of them. Don't let these animals slip through the cracks.

Nugget was found starved to the point of being paralyzed in the streets of Eureka. He spent several months with us at the rescue learning how to digest food again.  He was known around Old Town as "Survivor".  He found a loving home where he was able to live out the remainder of his life being loved.  Every life deserves a second chance.

H.A.R.T. Is a volunteer-driven, non-profit 501(c) 3 organization that relies on the community for funding dollars. 100% of your contributions are used to provide a safe and loving care environment for the animals we support until they can find a new forever home. No staff member receives a salary.

Moe was the shyest of three nearly feral kittens and was overwhelmed with new visitors making it harder for us to find the right home. As soon as you are one on one with a can of Fancy Feast his purr engine would start to roar, it just takes some time to warm up.  After several months here at the rescue we are happy to report that Moe was recently adopted!   HART does all that they can to find purfect homes for all kitty personality types and we have a particular soft spot for shyer kitties like Moe.
