The Victor Valley Union High School District offers cutting-edge, rigorous and relevant Career Technical Education (CTE) courses at Adelanto High School, Silverado High School, Victor Valley High School, and at the Adult Education Center. The courses are designed to prepare students for a wide range of high-wage, high-skill, and high-demand careers. 
SkillsUSA: 37 Students Advance to State 
Victor Valley Union High School District sends 70 students to compete regionally in SkillsUSA 
SkillsUSA is a Career Technical Student Organization focused on building America's future workforce through the development of personal, workplace and technical skills. Students enrolled in hospitality, medical, aviation, and automotive courses at Adelanto, Silverado, and Victor Valley high schools competed against their peers to demonstrate mastery of industry specific skills and leadership. Of the 70 students, 37 are now moving on to a state competition in San Diego. Winners of this competition will have an opportunity to compete nationally. Senator Wilk Tours CTE Classrooms at Adelanto High School 

Senator Scott Wilk, Vice Chair of the California Senate Standing  Committee on Education, recently toured Adelanto High School's CTE classrooms and discussed the importance of preparing students for college and career readiness. 
Game Design Students Win 3rd Place!
Ms. Roderick's Victor Valley High School Video Game Design students took 3rd place in a national video game design contest hosted by Stem Fuse. The game design course introduces students to the analysis, design, and creation of interactive two dimensional animations and games.  This hands-on course utilizes industry software and incorporates individual and group projects that require problem solving and practical application of course competencies to create simple games. Pathways to Success was a BIG Success!
Victorville Motors and the It's A Gas to Go to Class team launched the first Pathways to Success expo, an event where local colleges, training programs and career opportunities are discovered and explored by high school students across the region.  Victor Valley Union High School District sent close to 700 students to the expo to learn about local career opportunities as well as college and technical training pathways.
