I must say a great big THANK YOU to my ARC TEAM for the fabulous help and support you gave during the launch of Lottie Saves the Turtles. I always appreciate reviews on Goodreads and Amazon from you all. It means so much to an author.I've received some fantastic feedback from readers for Lottie Saves the Turtles and they loved what happened to Hamish MacDougal in the end! No spoilers!
If you'd like to join the team just contact me.
I've had a fabulous 'research trip' to Alaska! I was fortunate to drive a dog sled. It was an amazing experience.I was concerned at first because I wanted to see for myself that the dogs were well treated and happy in their roles. They were ever so happy and so excited to take us on the ride through the snow. Their owner is called Dave Dalton and is an expert musher who has competed in the 1000 mile Iditarod Race. Fascinating or what! I learned how to 'brake' the sled.If you get it wrong the dogs set off before you are ready as they are full of beans. On our return I could cuddle the dogs and they licked me to bits.
I asked my Facebook friends ' What should Lottie save in Alaska? The answers came flooding in but the overwhelming result was POLAR BEARS! I've since been researching and plotting. It looks like I have plenty of writing and illustrating to do this Autumn. If you're on Facebook I've posted some videos of me driving the dog sled and some great pics.My Facebook page.
Yes! Lottie will definately have to travel to Alaska with her friend Amy to save the polar bears. I can see her driving a team of sled dogs to save the day.
My Lanzarote Interview I did an interview for Lanzarote information about life on Lanzarote. You can see it here.
That's all for now! I hope you all have a great summer break and the kids keep practising those important reading skills. I'm off to watch England play Wales at Twickenham next weekend. It's a Rugby World Cup warm-up game. So ...Come on ENGLAND! Bye for now!
