OUR DAY ON THE HILL WAS 💯
Major thanks to everyone who attended and invested in supporting our inaugural Day on the Hill!
  • Students and educators
  • Organizers and activists
  • Elected officials and concerned Tennesseans
  • LiberTEA Collective participants and Liberators
  • Community leaders and rising democracy defenders
We had a full day of meeting legislators and asking the tough questions, sitting in on committee meetings and watching the unfortunate political theater up close and personal, learning about the issues, discussing proposed legislation and networking with fellow Tennesseans.

A few of the gems dropped:
  • Communication is key when it comes to working across the aisle, within one's party and in the community.

  • Reach out to your legislators; call, email and show up. Although they work in Nashville during the week, they return home on the weekend and when they're out of session. Meet them so they don't forget who they're working on behalf of - even if you didn't vote for them.

  • We must have strategies that are inside and outside of politics to achieve the changes we want and need.

  • FYI... white supremacy is bipartisan.

  • We must unite against people, policy and legislation that systematically do away with democratic norms.

  • Proposed legislation can and should come from you, the People.
Day On The Hill was a major success and we look forward to doing it again!
