Our Year In Pictures

Dear Photo Friends,

I think you'll agree that 2018 was a great year for our creative community.  My mind spins thinking back over all we did this year:

The Oakland Photo Walks series (a dozen of them!)
Workshops on Zines, Lens-making, color processing, and more!
  Fantastic Show 'n' Tell nights
Live Portraits with Glass Key's Big Camera!
Kid's photo classes for Oakland's Acta Non Verba program
And of course the Bay Area Big Shots Exhibition!

And there is STILL more to come in 2018!   The Big Shots show is still up, hosted by friend and EBPCO sponsor Panorama Framing.  The mid-show party will feature artist talks by Zach Miners and the unsinkable Jenny Sampson.  And if you came to our Photo White Elephant party last year, you'll remember what a hoot it was.  More info about these and other events below.

2019 will be an important year for EBPCO.  This is the year we are going to get serious about raising funds to open our home-to-be,  The East Bay Center for Photography.   I'm looking forward to working with all of you on creating this dream space that will very quickly become the heart of Bay Area photography.   Look for an announcement for the first meeting of the fund raising committee in mid January.

Speaking of donations...now's the time!  Make your EBPCO donation now, before you forget, and get the big year-end tax savings.  EBPCO is a 501(c)( 3) registered non-profit, so it's  win-win.  CLICK HERE TO DONATE TO EBPCO!!!!

Thank you, friends for a wonderful and inspiring 2018.   I hope YOU are planning to make 2019 your most creative year ever - and of course your EBPCO creative community is here to support and encourage you!

Photographically yours,
Vince Donovan
Executive Director
