ATOMOS shipping the first of their AtomX modules for Ninja V

Owners of the hugely popular Atomos Ninja V can now add 12G-SDI input & output via an AtomX module, supporting up to 12G-SDI, 4K60p and conversion between the on-board HDMI & the modules' SDI. These are the first of what is expected to be a broad family of expansion options for the most versatile monitor recorder available on the market today. The AtomX port has a stack-able, locking design and with 32Gb/s bandwidth, it has strong development potential for the future. If the only thing that was frustrating you about your new Ninja V was the lack of an SDI port, your problems have been solved!

Blackmagic Design announce Teranex Mini SDI to DisplayPort 8K HDR advanced 8K DisplayPort monitoring solution with dual on screen scope overlays, HDR, 33 point 3D LUTs and monitor calibration that’s been specifically designed for the professional film and television market, and to take advantage of a new generation of monitors, such as the Apple Pro Display XDR. Teranex Mini SDI to DisplayPort 8K HDR will be available in Oct 2019.

Owners of the RØDE Microphones SC6-L and VideoMic Me-L have been reporting issues with the latest (12.3+) iOS updates. New firmware has been released to deal with it.


Powerful 8K & IP Functionality Added to AJA Kona & Io

Desktop Software v15.2 is now available for download and Introduces new enhancements for KONA and Io products. Highlights include:

  • Cross-Platform Apple ProRes family available for Capture and Playback with AJA Control Room using macOS, Windows, or Linux.
