There is a lot to share following the IBC Show in Amsterdam. As always, there were plenty of new products and updates, but by all reports there was also a positive buzz in the air and some suggestion that the industry, at least in that part of the world, is looking healthy despite some nervousness and confusion with the whole Brexit process. Below is a small selection of the product news in brief. Click 'learn more' to get a more detailed run down and get in touch if anything piques your interest! Videohub ‘Pro’ Control Panels

MASTER CONTROL PRO allows for very flexible control because it has two main methods for changing cross points on Videohub routers. The simplest way to use Master Control Pro is for customers to simply select either destination or source and then scroll through all the cross points in the router using the larger knob on the right side of the panel. The built in LCD shows cross points as the user scrolls using large easy to read labels, and scroll order is based on alphabetical order of crosspoint labels so it’s easy to scroll to the crosspoint the customer requires even on a very large router.

SMART CONTROL PRO is different to traditional hardware router control panels that cost thousands of dollars and are limited to being installed in small numbers and then shared by all router users. It is low cost, and features 48 RGB illuminated crystal look buttons that can be set to any router output. It can also be installed under each deck and monitor in a facility, so the router output to that monitor can be set with a single button press. This is a much faster way of working, because all routing only requires a single button press.

Introducing the 4th generation of NDI® technology!

“[NewTek] NDI® is a crucial part of the organization’s mission of making software–defined visual storytelling accessible to everyone via the universal power of IP–based video.”

“Our mission is to make video accessible to everyone and fun to use. It is clear that software–defined video is changing the way that video is produced. The fourth generation of NDI® technologies look to use IP video to bridge the gap between live and post–production and thus create new workflows that have been previously impossible. With billions of devices worldwide, it should be clear that the mobile devices which connect the world today will play a huge role in the future of video production, which is why we are pushing NDI® technology to seamlessly work on these devices making many already operate as wireless, high quality 4K cameras” - Dr. Andrew Cross, president of R&D for Vizrt Group, parent brand of NDI®
