Over the years, Bridgeport’s democracy stopped working for the betterment of all people and started working for a few individuals and their personal gain. That’s why in 2021, we launched the Unrig Bridgeport coalition and campaign: because it’s OUR job to fix Bridgeport’s democracy.
As part of Unrig Bridgeport and The People’s Platform, we've worked hard to advocate for early voting. We are so excited to see it cross the finish line!
Allowing early voting is a huge win for ballot access here in Bridgeport. It also makes it harder for political operatives to manipulate our local elections.
Now, we can amend our state’s constitution to allow our representatives up in Hartford to debate and design in-person early voting here in Connecticut.
